Sancerre Red
à Nicolas
A plot composed of soft limestone, locally known as griottes, located in the lieu-dit “les Garennes”, between the villages of Sancerre and Bué.
Vinified in wooden vats and aged in large demi-muid barrels for one year.
A complex, concentrated nose redolent of black cherry, liquorice and mild spices. The palate boasts firm yet velvety texture, offering nice fullness, the whole underpinned by smooth, straightforward tannins.
This wine will benefit from being cellared for a few years if possible.
Uncork to enjoy with sauced red meat dishes or even with a chocolate dessert for older vintages!
